Plan and prepare beginning now

Improving SAT and ACT Scores

Did you know that you can register at www.collegeboard.com and www.act.org for study helps?  You can register to have a practice question sent to you daily via email.  That’s approximately 30 questions a month with the answers and hints about answering correctly!!  FREE!!!  Consistent, long term practice is the best preparation.

Take your PSAT results and your PSAT booklet and retake the test on your own time. Make sure you know not only the correct answer, but also how to get the correct answer.  If you don’t understand a question or how to get the answer, show it to a teacher in that academic area and ask for help.

Browse the bookstores for self-help books. There are also commercial prep courses you can take.

NFHS offers “SAT Prep” as a 9 weeks class. Other high schools offer similar classes. There are also private classes provided for a fee and books that you can buy. Local libraries often have test prep books for loan.
